MIED

Mountain Institute for Education and Development (MIED), under the Continued School Support Project, successfully launched an enrollment campaign in Project Schools with financial support from PPAF to address the issue of out-of-school children. This impactful initiative is playing a vital role in bridging the gap between children and their fundamental right to education.
As part of the campaign, MIED teams collaborated with local communities, School Management Committees (SMCs), parents, and community influencers through awareness sessions, door-to-door visits, and community meetings to emphasize the importance of education.
Special attention was given to remote areas, including Darmander Valley, Batherate Valley, and Chashi Nala, ensuring that children in these underserved regions also have access to schooling.
To further strengthen the initiative, surveys and data collection were conducted to identify out-of-school children and assess the barriers preventing them from receiving formal education.
Additionally, dedicated sessions were organized for parents and guardians, addressing their concerns and encouraging them to enroll their children in school.
With the joint efforts of SMCs and MIED teachers, many children were identified and successfully enrolled in schools, and these efforts are ongoing to ensure sustained access to education for all.
